In this project we were asked to develop industrial X-Ray controller for non destructive testing device intended for use in major steal construction factory. Requirements for this project:


CONNECTED Our controller had to support various communication protocols which would enable possibility to integrate with customer current infrastructure. To accomplish this we have implemented EtherCat communication as a default protocol as well as RS485 build in for integration with additional hardware as well as older systems. We have also included OPC UA server for external data access thru ethernet giving full control over parameters and status.

REMOTELY CONTROLLED One of the requirement was to be able to control operations of the system from closed local area network. We have developed specific web interface for human machine interactions.

ERGONOMIC User interface was developed for touch screen as well as remote control through web browser. Hardware wise we have design modern, elegant and in the same time very robust custom enclosure which can be used as a stand alone controller. It can also be mounted in to server rack using dedicated adapters in case of using remote control feature.

SAFE Several hardware and software interlocks have been implemented for two stage safety measures and failsafe functionality. System access is limited by the administrator through admin portal where he can add remove or manage users as well as assign privileges.

RELIABLE Thanks to extensive experience in industrial automation we have designed system based on industrial grade components in order to maximize reliability of the system. Our controller has also remote maintenance feature which enables our engineers to support and diagnose system remotely.

EXPANDABLE During project analysis we have decided to design software platform which in the future will be capable of supporting various generators. This way controller will not be limited to use with only one generator manufacturer. Support for additional generator will be added based on particular customer requirements.
