This project came up to life after analizing cost savings opportunity for H. Cegielski-Poznań S.A one of the largest globally recognized company offering technologically advanced products in many industries such as energy, transportation, gas and petrochemicals, environmental engineering and the manufacture of steel structures.
We have tackle problem related with construction geometry changes during welding process by implementing new measurement system based on computer vision technology. Currently used measurement technology or implemented processes lead to increased investments in manufacturing cost which we are aiming to eliminate.
The purpose was to design novel cost effective measurement system which can be used during welding process to eliminate unnecessary cost related with geometry changes of the welded structure. The system consist of acquisition model, analytical part, connectivity part and User Interface. All elements ware designed in house including electrical cabinet, electronics as well as software. The project is still under development going threw in situ testing.
